Slow Stitch, Mindful and Contemplative Textiles

Slow, mindful and contemplative are the perfect adjectives to describe the week with textile artist Claire Wellesley-Smith.  Using found marks to inspire mordant prints, local dyes collected around the studio, piecing and hand stitching using natural threads Claire encouraged Dumasiennes to create unique pieces that explore ideas around their stay at Chateau Dumas.
