In a film and TV career that spans more than 40 years leading theatrical milliner Jane Smith possesses an unrivalled knowledge of hat construction and an enviable array of millinery skills. Students on Jane’s workshops stepped back in time and learned to create an authentic 19th century Jane Austen-style bonnet and dashing top hat using strip straw plaits and buckram.
