A lot of ground was covered in the week with shibori master, Jane “Cally” Callender. The basics of stitch resist using stencils, fold and clamp – itajime, cylinder wrapping – bo maki shibori and arashi and other binding methods as well as how to prepare an indigo vat and iron rust dye bath to achieve beautiful shades and effects on natural fabrics.
